Applications
- The RPLS530A/RPLS531A switch tin be used in a single-pole or 3-manner installation with the following types of lighting:
• Incandescent
• Halogen
• Low-voltage element of group vii with transformer
• Fluorescent
The RPLS530A/RPLS531A switch cannot be used with a load below 40 W, a load in a higher place 500 W or a motor.
Installation
- Cutting power at the excursion breaker to avert electrical stupor.
- Remove the existing switch. (For a 3-fashion installation, identify and characterization the wire that is connected to the "common" spiral.)
- Install the new switch (refer to the appropriate section below).

Programmable Wall Switch
Connect wire "C" of the RPLS530A/RPLS531A to the "mutual" wire, identified when removing the old switch. Connect the other ii RPLS530A/RPLS531A wires to the two remaining wires.
At the other iii-way switch, connect the jumper wire between the "common" screw and the screw where wire "1" of the RPLS530A/RPLS531A is continued.
NEW 3-WAY INSTALLATION
The jumper wire is not required in this installation. A single-pole switch can be used equally the other switch in a iii-way installation.
Power-On
- Pry the switch door open from the bottom using a small screwdriver. Reset
- Ensure the ON/OFF selector is gear up to ON. Control (four)
- Reset the switch using a paper clip. 0:00 and MO will flash.
If the display is blank:
- Ensure the ON/OFF selector is properly engaged in the ON position. Push it to the correct using a small screwdriver.
• On/Off selector - If the programmable switch controls a lamp equipped with a congenital-in On/Off switch, ensure the lamp switch is prepare to On.
- Ensure the low-cal bulb is not burned out and is tightly screwed in its socket.
EXISTING 3-WAY INSTALLATION
If either switch does not work properly, rewire the jumper between the "common" spiral and the other screw.
WARNING: Before replacing the light seedling, place the ON/OFF selector in the OFF position. Failure to practise so might damage the switch.
Setting the Clock
NOTE: The switch displays the time in 24-hr format by default or following a reset.
- To modify to a 12-hour format (or vice versa), proceed as follows:
a) Press one of the command buttons to ensure the Human or Machine indicator is displayed.
b) Printing the MIN and HOUR buttons simultaneously and briefly (0:00 display = 24-hr, 12:00 display = 12-60 minutes). - Ready the fourth dimension using the HOUR and MIN buttons. If you accept selected the 12-hour format, ensure that PM appears on the screen when an afternoon time is displayed.
- Prepare the day by using the Solar day button.
- Printing i of the command buttons or close the switch door to return to normal operation.
Selecting the Operating Mode
The programmable switch has two operating modes: manual (MAN) and automatic (AUTO). To switch mode, printing the switch door for 3 seconds.
Manual Mode
The programmable switch operates equally a regular switch.
Briefly press the switch door to plough the lights On or Off.
The style (Man) and land (ON or OFF) are displayed.
Automatic Style
The programmable switch follows the programmed schedule. The mode (AUTO), country (ON or OFF), and current plan number are displayed..
To temporarily override the programmed schedule, press the switch door
The new state (ON or OFF) will flash to show that this land is temporary.
The override remains in effect until yous press the switch door again or until the beginning of the next program.
Programming
Y'all can fix to seven programs. To set a plan, you need to enter its commencement time (ON) and its stop time (OFF).
- Pry the switch door open using a small screwdriver.
- Press the PGM button to display a program and its On or Off time. For example, when yous start printing PGM, program number i (P1) and its On-fourth dimension (ON) will appear. -:– will appear instead of the fourth dimension if the plan is not set (inactive).
- Press the DAY push to select the 24-hour interval to which you want to apply to the program.
NOTE: If yous want to apply the program to every mean solar day of the week, press DAY until all the days are displayed. (This still counts as one program, not 7)
- Press the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the ON time (a fourth dimension when y'all want the lights to turn on). If you have selected the 12-hour format, ensure that PM appears on the screen when an afternoon fourth dimension is displayed.
- After you take programmed the ON time, press the PGM button to display the OFF time (a time when you want the lights to turn off).
- Echo steps 3 through 5 to program the OFF fourth dimension. If the plan ON time is prepare for every day of the week, the program OFF time will automatically be set up for every day.
- To gear up another program, repeat steps 2 through 6. Programs that are not gear up will remain inactive.
- Press one of the control buttons or close the switch door to return to normal operation.
Clearing a Program
Press the PGM button until the desired program is selected. Concord the PGM button for 3 seconds. -:– appears when the programme is erased.
